Dating like forreals? Hmmm it’s been about half a year. As of right now, I’m not looking for anyone because I got my eye on someone already and I’m just waiting for something I hope will happen but I guess time will tell.
I’m the type of person that doesn’t really dwell on my past. I believe that things happen for a reason and that those situations happen because it aims to teach us something or makes us stronger. I always suppressed those memories in which I went through extreme amounts of grief and heartache since it’s not in my nature to show or convey feelings of sadness and despair.
However, That was not the case tonight. Earlier this evening me and my roommate was chillin’ on our living room. We were looking through our calendars, syllabi, and thinking of the things that we have to do this semester. We were both overwhelmed and already stressing about how hectic and strenuous this semester is going to be. His iTunes was on shuffle and all of sudden the song “Heaven” remix by DJ Sammy played. And the song hit me. It hit me pretty hard. The fact that the song was playing at a point where I was going through so much doubt, insecurity, and stress was perfect. I was crying, not because of stress but because I conveyed it a sign, a signal from someone very dear to my heart that everything will be fine.
Daddy, It has been almost 13 years since the last time I saw your face, I heard your voice, and I felt your touch; but I will always feel your comfort and your love especially at the most random moments. I know for a fact that I am not the man that you ever wished I could be, but trust me, I am trying my best and that’s all I could ever do. I know that it’s hard not having you to guide me or even to beat the shit out of me when i fuck up, but I will always remember those last words you ever uttered to me the last time I saw you. And those words will always be close to my heart. I miss you so much and I will love you forever.
